Number of people vaccinated as off 25January, 2021 are 48 128
The Government of Costa Rica acquired 3 million doses of vaccines, for an application to one and a half million people (total population 52 million). The National Commission of Epidemiology has prioritized five groups for Covid-19 vaccinations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Group 1: seniors aged 65 years and older and , front-line workers, high-risk health workers and first responders.
Group N\u00b02: adults aged 58 years and older with and without pre-existing medical conditions and\/or disability.
Group N\u00b03: adults aged between 18 and 58 years of age with high-risk medical conditions.
Group N\u00b04: teachers, school staff, child-care workers and people in prisons.
Group N\u00b05: students in certain health-related fields. General population aged 40 to57 years who work in industries that require contact with people or have a high impact on the economy such as agriculture, construction, customer service, restaurants, and housekeeping.
