This month the tourism board held its first ever Guanacaste workshop. 44 product managers from Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France and the UK ventured to Guanacaste located in the northern pacific region of Costa Rica for a chance to meet key partners and then venture out on a FAM.
The objective of the workshop was to introduce decision makers from the European travel industry to local Guanacaste partners as a way to increase tourism to Liberia international airport. The product managers met with 20 local partners over a two day workshop. To celebrate the launch of the workshop a festival was help on the streets to showcase Guanacaste and the Tourism Minister Maria Amalia Revelo gave a speech.
As part of the FAM trip the groups were split in to four groups. The UK group explored Sensoria (a wellness experience), tubing, zip lining and cultural activities.
